Pay Attention to Love

Love has become an ordinary word to use now-a-days, pertaining to anything. “I love your hair”, “I love that design”, best of all “I love you”. When said by many people, from one to another, I sometimes wonder if the understanding of that word is mutual. First and foremost the word “love” is a noun but it is also a verb, an action.

The greatest definition of love is found in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 and I find this to be true…

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.  Love never fails…”

If ever the noun version of love is to be said, make sure to pay attention to the action behind it…because it says so much more.

Be Encouraged!
